Nat West Day - the now 'traditional' day to spend at the ground pre-season - resulted in a much needed facelift for the pavilion. Led by Graham Gribble, Ian Moore and Neil Spencer many club members assisted in removing the old wood and replacing with Marley board. The 'almost' finished result is shown below. Well done to all who helped out. The work was financed by the Jewson Nat West scheme monies raised from the Annual Darts marathon and donations from players and supporters. |

EARLIEST BUGLE CRICKET GAME
Tucks is once again going research potty and thanks to a chance delve in the Royal Cornwall Gazette Archive (on line) has found 4 games - all Friendlies - played in 1910. Yes 1910!. Significant? Yes, because we have now missed our centenary celebrations by a 7 years. The previous earliest Bugle game was 19th July 1921. at Bugle (presumed Westley Terrace) v. Tregonissey. Bugle 57, Tregonissey 33. A gentleman named G. Tonkin (possibly Garth) scores 15. If anyone can shed some light on this person or any Bugle games between the wars please drop Tucks a line ([email protected]). Above; Scorecard St. Columb v Bugle 1910

Club Memorabilia
Calling all players and supporters past and present. Over the years we have built up a fabulous archive of club memorabilia comprising photographs, scorebook records, statistics and events. Some of this is included in this website but all the information is archived into an impressive volume of over 700 pages that is referred to as the 'Complete Bugle Cricketer (The CBC)'. Unfortunately the CBC is incomplete with events pre-1963 and pre World War 2 (when the Club played games at Westley Terrace), very sketchy at best. No scorebooks have been found to date for the period 1954-1962 and the 2nd XI scorebook for seasons 1985\86 is also missing. Our appeal is to anyone who can supply a memory, a photograph or a record to add to our knowledge base. No matter how small or trivial your snippet of information is, or how crinkled and dog eared your photograph may be, we would love to hear from you. Please use the contact form on the HOME page or email [email protected]. We will be very excited to recieve scanned photographs, newspaper articles etc. Thank you.
